In Autumn 2017, our clients purchased their house with the vision to fully renovate the space, bringing the two near separate buildings together to create a light spacious modern home. In August 2019, Stonemill Kitchens were invited to add our touch to the amazing project in the form of a new kitchen and entertainment area.
From old wooden beams casting shadows through the space, to a new luxury light kitchen including a large Centre Island, perfect for entertaining guests. Stonemill Kitchens had a blank canvas to work from, starting with the installation of the kitchen units, carefully chosen in two differing tones. Complementing the tall dark Oxide units housing the Neff Ovens, Fridge and Larder are the light Matt Cashmere doors on the Central Island and remaining kitchen units.
Brushed Rose Gold profiles link the kitchen together with true handleless rail systems in place, eliminating the need for door and drawer handles to be on show. An Elica Downdraft Extractor Hob was installed on the far wall, nearest the double Neff Ovens making the area efficient to move around when cooking.
Bringing the whole kitchen together is the Silestone Blanco Stellar Quartz worktops. The beauty with Silestone is the fully moulded Integrity Under Mount Single Bowl Sink, flowing through the worktops, relieving the need for seams and joints. One solid piece of Quartz. To match the wonder of the sink is another great feature in the Quooker Fusion Round Tap with Cube attachment. One tap with five functions, hot, cold, chilled, boiling and sparkling water all from one spout.
The impressive Central Island gives the area a real wow factor. The Island can comfortably seat 8 people with plenty of room to spare. To keep this feature as functional as possible, storage units have been installed on both sides to give the space a purpose other than for sitting. The S-Box Chameleon Pop-Up Charging point is a highlight on the Central Island, with Quartz worktop fitted above the device to seamlessly blend with the Island surface when not required.
Overall this kitchen is a pure joy. There are hidden features around every corner and ingenious use of otherwise wasted space. Every inch of the area has been carefully thought through, from under plinth lights to the open display unit in dark Oxide. The space is no longer cast in shadows, and there is not a glimpse of the dark wood from before. The completed project is light, airy and modern, with an inviting feel. This is a kitchen to enjoy throughout the seasons and our clients were sure to express how pleased they are with the final end result.
