Slim Shaker Kitchen Chelmsford – Painted in Cashmere
This beautiful Slim Shaker Kitchen in Chelmsford, is painted in Cashmere, which is very much our clients pride and joy. The perfect balance between useability and luxury has been created in this space. With subtle lighting, clean lines and relaxing colours, it’s hard to walk through this area without feeling a sense of calm and excitement in equal measure.
Our clients chose to keep the main layout of their new Stonemill kitchen similar to their old kitchen, with the important addition of Tall Pantry Units and a wide top box to encase their existing American Fridge Freezer. Not only creating a wonderful feature to their kitchen, but also to maximise storage space and keeping the flow of the area around the french doors which lead to the garden.
The slim shaker kitchen doors are the perfect compromise to maintain the traditional shaker kitchen feel with a modern twist. Tongue and Groove end panels were also added to give the sense of luxury and to make the tall cupboard areas a feature to behold.
Both single pantries have shelves internally with drawer sets beneath, to keep all the essential items a kitchen needs. The right hand pantry cupboard also features a hidden spice rack, beautifully crafted and installed within the door frame. This is not the only internal gem that sits within this kitchen. The base corner cupboard has an internal carousel, with special revolving doors to ensure ease of access to our clients pots and pans. Either side of this corner cupboard, are slim pull out wireworks, one next to the oven for oils and condiments, the other next to the sink to store tea towels.
Neff appliances were carefully chosen to assist our cooking enthusiast client, with a Single Hide and Slide Oven, a useful warming drawer and Microwave all sitting comfortably within a tall housing unit. No space wasted, a shallow drawer for trays at the bottom and a cupboard above, finish this run of appliances. Directly next to the oven is a 75cm Neff Gas Hob, with FlameSelect, the gas output can be precisely adjusted in 9 different steps to ensure food is cooked to perfection every time.
Our Chelmsford clients chose to include two Franke Stainless Steel sinks in their kitchen, along with the incredibly useful and easy to operate Franke Vital Capsule Filter Tap. Each tap has a separate filter spout, where a small filter is inserted to transform standard tap water into bottled water quality at just the twist of your hand.
There are many wonderful highlights to this kitchen, however one of the requirements our clients had during the consultation phase was “the worktops need to be a wow”. Sensa Colonial White Granite worktops were the ultimate choice, with the natural stone creating unique patterns throughout the surface. To complement the main work surface, our clients wanted to design a lower breakfast bar area to comfortably seat three people. Initially, our clients were leaning towards a solid wood surface to create this seating area, however, our designer suggested using a Quartz worktop with a stunning waterfall edge instead. Once our clients viewed the concept images, a Quartz worktop was enthusiastically given the go ahead. Silestone Eternal Statuario Quartz surface was chosen for its elegance and pure white tones with subtle marbling effect running throughout. With a polished finish, highly stain resistant, and easy upkeep, the quartz was 100% the way to go.
Suffice to say, the worktops are both DEFINITELY a wow!
